Compared to VRLA batteries, Lithium-Ion batteries have up to 3x life expectancy. The typical lifespan of a VRLA battery is 3 to 5 years, lithium-ion UPS batteries can last 8 to 10 years and in many cases outlast the UPS providing higher availability. They have greater power density, recharge much more quickly, and can endure 10x more discharge cycles. They are also more resilient to high temperatures than VRLA batteries making them the most reliable solution available.
